ABOUT ME
Alyson Reid is from Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and hopes to find a career either in Cleveland or another arts hub in the United States. Alyson grew up surrounded by the arts and would love to use her artistic point of view and creativity to bring a new perspective to marketing for arts organizations.
Alyson recently graduated from Baldwin Wallace University, where she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts. Alyson studied Digital Marketing and minored in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. While she attended BW, she worked for the Digital Marketing Center, interned for numerous nonprofit organizations in the Cleveland area, and served as the Director of Marketing & PR for the Arts Management Association for two years.
Alyson has used her college career as an opportunity to network and learn with the arts professionals within the industry. She cannot wait to adapt her learnings to her future career. She hopes to find a career incorporating her marketing knowledge with her artistic point of view and love for the performing arts.
Arts Management Association
Alyson is the elected Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the Arts Management Association and has served in the role for two years; through this position, she has managed the following responsibilities:
Coordinated impactful and engaging social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Designed branding and promotional materials for all AMA events and promoted events, fundraisers, and opportunities.
Helped in the planning and organization of several AMA events, including our largest fundraiser of the year, the AMA Auction. This year, the auction raised over $2,000.
Organized and conducted all email marketing and communication to the organization and faculty.
Facilitated all merchandise decisions, including design, ordering, selling, and tracking inventory.

I used this certification to measure the performance of a website I created for a digital marketing class. I studied the insights and determined how I could better optimize the site.
Hubspot Email Marketing
As the director of marketing for an on-campus organization, I send a lot of e-blasts to students. Informing the organization about meetings, opportunities, and events are all a part of my job. I utilize this certification by implementing strategies to make the e-blasts more engaging; this promotes the click rate, and conversion rate and manages subscriptions.
Hubspot Social Media Marketing
I utilized this certification in all of my internship experiences; building reach and boosting engagement was a vital part of managing social media accounts and creating meaningful content.

My Future
Alyson has used her college career as an opportunity to network and learn with the arts professionals within the industry and cannot wait to adapt her learnings to her future career. She hopes to find a career incorporating her marketing knowledge with her artistic point of view and love for the performing arts.
Her ideal job is working on social media marketing for a professional musical theatre marketing agency. She would love to work with social media, email marketing, and advertisement in the performing arts industry, as well as graphic design and web development, two skills in which she has taken a special interest in the past few years.
